Well I really can't makes things from scratch, I'm more of a refiner. If you give me a rough draft or theory, I make those things look good, and work out most inconsistencies.

I haven't had much time to work on it, and a week ago I found enough paper for the actual pattern itself XD

But all last week, my mom was out of town and as the oldest kid I had to do everything instead, so I didn't do much of anything besides food makin' and homework.

Yeah... I think being a middle child is best because you aren't
a) sheltered from the outside world (a.k.a. my little sister)
or
b) burdened with extra responsibility (a.k.a. me)

:I I dunno if other 3+ child families work this way...

I am in a two child family so we only have oldest and youngest, I have no idea XD. But my brother was definitely burdened. I was a horrible little child.

sweet, once you're done you should upload the final pattern. I can take this down, then (and prevent countless others from suffering)

OH. I forgot to show how to mark where to sew on the buttons.
you basically AFTER YOU'VE SEWN THE FLAP DOWN lay the flap across the hole where you want it to be once it's buttoned, take chalk or a marking pen (DO NOT USE A REGULAR PEN OR PENCIL) and poke it through the buttonhole to the fabric underneath. The dot you poked on to the fabric will be where you place the button! It's a nice trick so that you don't have something that's too loose because you accidentally made something too long
